The 1991-1993 year group which is the O and A levels have today visited and donated some equipment to the home economics department of the Osei Kyeretwie SHS in Tafo Kumasi to enhance their practical and more especially to aid the final year students in their exit exams.
Madam Naomi Opoku, an assistant headmistress in charge of domestic at Tawheed SHS in Kumasi and an old student of OKESS during the presentation, encouraged the students and explained to the press how useful the presented items were going to help the students.
Including the items that were donated to the school were three big filled gas cylinders, three big modern burner ovens, and their accessories.
Surprisingly, the 1984 year group representatives entered the hall with laptops and other accessories to be sent to the Science and Maths Quiz Center of the school.
After the presentation, the Headmaster of the school spoke to the media advised the general public over money ritual, which is recently rampant in the country.
According to Mr. Michael Mensah, the recent killing of humans and the trading of human parts for money could be blamed on the schools, the students, and the guardians.
“We are doing our best as headmasters and teachers at the school therefore parents and guardians at home must also do their part by monitoring every move of their children, ” Mr. Mensah added.
